SCHOOL START TIME CHANGE INFORMATION

Posted Feb. 7, 2021 -- The RHSPTA is hearing from families with a variety of opinions about the school start time change announcement. We are grateful for our engaged school community, value the breadth of perspectives and appreciate the desire for open conversation.

As a board, we:

• Are committed to fostering a productive and respectful dialogue within our school community and with SPPS district leadership. 
• Do not endorse or oppose the start time change announcement.
• Aim to support families, teachers and staff to the end that we’re able.

In order to support open dialogue and access to information, the RHSPTA is facilitating a virtual meeting with Jackie Turner, chief of operations officer for SPPS, on Thursday, Feb. 10 at 7pm. We will post the Zoom link shortly and all RHS families are welcome to attend. 

Please take a moment to submit your questions for Ms. Turner. We will share questions submitted prior to Wednesday at 8pm with her in advance of the meeting. The linked form also invites comments about how the school start time change may impact your family. Please share your thoughts so the RHSPTA can better understand the breadth of perspectives at Randolph Heights.
